The Rawalpindi commissioner’s revelation of a suicide attempt amid allegations of electoral fraud has surprised the political landscape, eliciting various reactions from different political groups. In response, PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah commented that even if the commissioner was involved in rigging, he shouldn’t face a death penalty since there’s no law in Pakistan allowing public hanging.
He mentioned that a person attempting suicide is under mental stress, suggesting these actions are intended to stir controversy around the elections. Sanaullah emphasized the need for Liaquat Chattha, involved in the incident, to be admitted to a hospital.
